"Sideswipe"
JB- I think every time somebody there says, 'Rip our shirts off,' somebody in my hallway says, 'Woo.'
(laughing)
JB- Chris, I'm guessing people really took notice of the group after your appearances on the show. So what's happened since then?
Chris- I think for the most part we're all going different routes as far as what we want to do out in Hollywood. Some of us are really going the acting route. Some of us are going the stunt route. It's opened a lot of doors. I mean, basically, a lot of people didn't know what extreme martial arts was until we performed on America's Got Talent. A couple months ago if we told someone, 'Yeah, we do extreme martial arts,' they'd think we did UFC-style brawling and fighting, or they'd think we stood there in white uniforms and not moving for hours and hours and breaking boards with our heads. Now people actually understand what extreme martial arts is and I think it's really starting to generate a lot of interest. So there are more people interested in learning extreme martial arts. There are more people interested in hiring people who can do extreme martial arts for different entertainment jobs and for different things altogether.
JB- And you've proven you don't have to dress like a Power Ranger. You can wear almost nothing.
(laughing)
JB- Now it's because of that Sharon Osbourne took notice. Craig, have you made arrangements for an in-house performance like she'd asked?
Craig- Her birthday's coming up and the team's planning on going over to her house to give her a little surprise party. So it's in the works.
JB- And maybe Ozzy would join in?
Sideswipe- He told us he'd jump out of a cake shaped like a bat.
JB- Yeah, the room's probably spinning for him already more so than it is for you guys. Jackson, which of the other three guys would you not want someone you care about to date, and why?
Jackson- (laughing) That's a horrible question.
JB- Any names? (silence) No? Which of the other three guys would you not want someone you care about to date, and why?
Jackson- (laughing) I'd say Craig because he's too young.
JB- That's it? C'mon.
Jackson- I'll do one for each of them. Craig because he's too young. Chris because I'd like their heart not to be in shambles in the end and I don't have one for Matt.
JB- I love it. Matt, the four of you are together a lot of the time. Are there any crazy antics that you're up to? Any pranksters in the group? Any wild stuff happening?
Matt- Absolutely no antics. It's amazing. No shenanigans at all. None, no I'm kidding. Probably one of our most fun antics. . . we had the most major battle to get to Washington, D.C. to get to a show, then all of a sudden somebody just picked up a pillow, and we had a huge room, and we had the most massive war of pillows being thrown. It's a lot different when, I think, martial artists have a pillow fight, because it's like war. There are pillows flying everywhere. People are ducking like it's The Matrix. Mattresses were flying from one side of the room to the next, and that was pretty insane. There are antics once in a while.
Matt- I think Chris and Jackson put some squid in some guy's car once, but that's it.
JB- What was that about? What was the reason behind that?
Chris- The fact that we had never put squid in a car before and we wanted to see what happened.
JB- And what happened?
Jackson- We didn't realize that there was squid in our place we were staying. It was in some sort of sealed case …
JB- Like an aquarium? Where were you staying? The zoo?
Matt- Under the seat.
JB- With the Ninja Turtles because turtles go in water. Chris, on the Sideswipe website it lists all four of you as being single, so it's sort of funny to have all this detailed information about the group, professional information, and then give details like that. So two things: one, is that up to date? Oh geez, and this is what happens when the staff brainstorms questions: two, are any of you willing to come on the radio show and play the dating game with some of the listeners?
Chris- (laughing) You know what, I better plead the fifth for the team right here. Actually, I don't even know if I can even answer that question for half the team, but yeah.
JB- How many of you are blushing right now?
Chris- None. We're guys. We're martial artists. We don't blush.
JB- No, you have pillow fights.
Chris- Yeah. I did have a girlfriend, so that's not completely up to date for me and Jackson.
Craig- I'm actually married.
JB- Matt, you're pretty quiet.
Matt- I'm currently single at the moment.
Chris- Playing the field.
Matt- Is that too much?
JB- Matt, we'll have you on the show. We have lots of listeners in Arizona and California who might just…maybe you'll go on the Bachelor after America's Got Talent. Talk to ABC.
Matt- I got asked to be on the Bachelor. I had a girlfriend at the time, and I said, 'no.'
