MELISSA ON BIGGER CITY LIVING
Troy- Melissa, I gotta ask you - of course you're the first female Canadian Idol - anything changed? Has it sunk in at all? Have you had time to reflect? Like "What the hell happened?" or anything?
MO- No, you know we haven't really had too much time to do much reflecting at all. Eyery day I'm very grateful to be where I am, for sure. I don't know. While it has happened so fast… I live very much in the moment, you know, so everything that's happening to me I'm living it and so it kind of goes a little bit slower. So it's not as much of a blur as everyone sees it.
Troy- And you moved to Toronto and you got an apartment in Toronto, right?
MO- Umhmm.
Troy- Last time I checked out your blog you ate expired carrots.
MO- [silence] Uh… Oh, that's the other blog.
Troy- How many blogs do you have? You've got the MySpace one, the Melissa O'Neil one…
MO- Yeah, the one on there I don't do that one too often because it's not as customizable as the MySpace one. But I really have to get on MySpace so to everyone (reading) and sending me messages about it, I know, I know and I'll be on it soon.
Troy- Any big differences moving from Cow Town (Calgary) to TO?
MO- My parents aren't around. That really bites. I miss them a lot. Um… it's stinky. I'm not going to lie…
Troy- Don't lie…
MO- Toronto's cool and everything, but, damn, when you walk down the street you just get hit with these smells out of no where. Just totally left-flanked with these things and you just… oh, it's not right.
